Sleeping puppy Empty Sleeping puppy

Post by tracy boo Fri Jan 10 2014, 19:24

Hi

Just looking for a bit of advice, Gordon is 5 months, he's normally running around like crazy, loves his walks and play but today when taking him for a walk he just kept sitting down and when I went over to him jumping up but not in the playful way he normally does but just wanting a cuddle. He didn't eat any of his food and has just wanted to sleep all day. Iv been out and got him some mince which he's eaten and he is drinking. Do you think it might be his teeth or maybe a growth spurt??

thanks for any advice

Could very well be his teeth, you could try wetting a tea towel and freezing it, letting him chew it will cool down his gums, he could be under the weather, just keep your eye on him. Smile

a lazy day every now and then is to be expected, you'll probably find hes having a growth spurt as well which can knock em for six. When the teeth start to go dont worry if you smell a fishy odour as thats just them rotting out. A cotton rope toy is also a good addition as it will grip the teeth when they chew and help ease them out

It could be a growth spurt, or maybe he's put eaten something he shouldn't have and is feeling a little under the weather. Hope he feels better soon, it's awful when our babes are sick isn't it. x
