Humping Empty Humping

Twice in the past week. 2 adult dogs have tried humping Elsie.  Surprised   She is coming up for 5 months.  with no signs of being or coming into season.  Elsie is a friendly little girl and loves nothing more than a rough and tumble play in the park with all dogs. Why would this be happening

Mounting is not always a sexual behavior,it can be a sign of dominance

What are you doing when this happens,and what is your dog doing when it happens

Hi Broxy, when this firstly happened Elsie was a bit submissive laying on her back, other time she was in play , chasing each other. I and the other owner just stepped in and removed them.

Yes probably more of a dominance thing, it just needs to be stopped and you did the right thing by removing them xx
