Vin is scratching
His ruddy face off! have checked ears for mites and nothing, its on the side of his nose it dries up and looks better then he scratches it through the night and its bleeding again. Have gave him piriton and used sudacreme but doesn't seem to be working. Any suggestions He is fine in his self but its looking so horrid I will make a vets app f it doesn't clear

Re: Vin is scratching
Aww poor Vin, what about a bit of coconut oil? (rubbed on or with his food). Maybe a quick trip to the vet will help to clear it up x

Re: Vin is scratching
Not so bad Lisa it was red and bleeding this morning. I think it dries and scabs and then when the scabs start to come off they are itchy and he scratches them off before they are ready xx

Re: Vin is scratching
There are no distractions for him at night and everything seems worse at night doesn't it?
Get him some big scratch mitts on his paws

Poor Vinnie
tbh I would try putting Germolene on it first, it really works like magic on sore places and has soothing properties too.
If the Germolene doesn't work its magic within a day or so, and the area is boiling up with spots and lumps, then Anthisan is the anti-histamine cream you need, if you think it looks like a histamine reaction.
Good luck Vinnie - do let us know how he gets on, poor boy

Seems better thanks Sue its healing up now with the sudocreme. Have just bathed him in his special shampoo which I think may help.
I don't bath him too much so maybe he needed one, he had to anyway rolled in poop on our walk earlier xxx thanks again hun xx

Re: Vin is scratching
Glad he's getting better Inez. My Vin gets terribly itchys on his leg and even changing to raw and giving antihistamines hasn't always helped - but the shampoo is good, especially in our heat.
I bet Vin loooved his bath

Glad its healing. Yuk our old dog used to roll in that and she was white! Quite embarrassing walking back down the streets with her covered in poop! At least he got to use his special shampoo x
