Daisy's muzzle is pink and the hair is thin, I would monitor and if it gets worse pop to the vets x

Re: Hair thinning on chin
Yes we need a photo Hargar.
Remind us how old Lola is? I can only say at this stage that my Dobermann bitches got horrible spots on their chins when they were young, and my vet told me that it was a kind of teenage acne. It cleared up but they had bald chins for the rest of their lives.

Re: Hair thinning on chin
Darcy has quite a thin haired chin to but her chin is black so you can't really tell. But it looks quite pink so maybe off to the vets with her

Re: Hair thinning on chin
Aha!
tbh it looks just like what my Dobie bitches got around the time they became ladies!
Hopefully vets are more clued up these days about what to do about it so that, again hopefully, she doesn't permanently lose the hair on her chin like my poor old girls did! (Not that it was the end of the world; the skin darkened when the rash cleared up and wasn't really noticeable).
If you take her to the vets, please warn them that your bitch is in season when you make the appointment, just to avoid possible mayhem in the waiting room!!
Do let us know how you get on.

Re: Hair thinning on chin
My parents dobermann got the acne too! We had to get a cream for it and it cleared up quite quickly.
I think the cream was called Bactroban (spelling might be out there!)
