clicker training

Ok I know all you lot out there in staffy computer land are a clever lot. I actually bought a clicker off ebay from China for $3 ( bargain!! ) ... but how do I use the thing? I tried to google but there is so much out there.. didn't know where to start. If I was going to try to clicker train with Winston..where would I start?? Are there any easy web site that's I would understand?? Thanks X

One good place to look is youtube.
Here is one example

Just search for things like
'clicker training'
'how to clicker train'
'clicker training dog' ...
To start off, your dog needs to know what the clicker is and what it does so it doesn't scare him, then start with the training.
Start off with something easy like, sit... then move onto other things.
Try not to do the same thing for too long, because your dog might get bored.
Also, be patient. Some things he/she might get in a few minutes, some things might take a little longer.
If you get frustrated, stop. Have a play and try again later.

I have found all sorts of useful videos on youtube. Sometimes you have to search for different things to get exactly what you want. But whatever you need, its usually there.
