Patrick Update

There has been a lot of politics surrounding Patrick, the young Pit Bull starved and left for dead on St.Patty's Day. So the vet's office that he's been staying at has not been able to share pictures or videos of him for the last couple of weeks. Today they were able to share two videos!! He looks great! Here are the clips:

The Associated Humane Societies want to take custody of him because to them “Patrick is no different than any other stray or abandoned [animal] picked up in Newark or any other city — once he was rescued by AHS, he became the property of AHS... AHS did not surrender possession or control of Patrick, but merely turned the dog over to GSVS [the vet hospital he has been starying at] for treatment, with the expectation that Patrick would be returned to AHS once his medical condition improved and he was able to be released.” They think of him as their property and want to take custody of him and move him to their rehabilitation zoo: http://dogblog.dogster.com/2011/05/06/group-wants-miracle-dog-patrick-moved-to-rescue-zoo/

He has really become attached to the people at GSVS(the vet hospital he has been staying at). There is even a vet at the hospital, who has been working with Patrick since he first arrived, who wishes to adopt him. Most of Patrick's supporters hope that he will end up with that vet because he has already bonded with her.

I'll let you know if/when I find out where Patrick will end up! I'm just glad to finally see an update of him!

What fantastic videos - so wonderful to see how far he has pogressed.

I hope he stays with the vet who knows him as well, it'll be one less trauma for him in the rest of his life.

At the end of the day if it was not for GSVS then he wouldn't of made it they done a great job obviousely and so did the vet, Patrick interest at heart he should go with the vet who sounds to be practically his owner the amount of time that she spent with him already.
AHS probabilly want him back for the fame side of things because GSVS has recieved so many donation and interest since patrick arrived.
