Her legs seem a bit loose in her hips. I noticed it in one of her other videos. I don't know if that's a bad thing, though, it may just be because she's young. I'd keep an eye on her walk.

Here's how Saxon walks, I thought there was something wrong with his hips, but I've been told it's a relatively normal walk:

when I first saw Dempsey he was 6 weeks old, and he had trouble keeping his back legs in check! They wobbled & slid everywhere!

Look at him now......................

Seriously, all 6 week old pups have wobbly back legs. They just haven't had time to build up their muscles yet. It'll come. By the time she's 10 weks old, you'll be wishing she wasn't as strong as she is! Big Grin

All of Cassie's pups woddled lol she's still finding their feet, keep in mind generally pups are not supposed to be running around as freely as this until about 8 weeks when they are ready physically and mentall, in the wild they don't even venture out of the den until 8weeks, so don't worry yourself about it check again in a couple of weeks and i am sure she would of found her feet, she seems very sure of herself btw and that might also be why she has such a wide stance if you get my meaning and because she has a wide stance her little joints don't know what to do about it at the moment.I'm sure she will be fine.

Don't listen to em! She's very young, and I doubt they've ever seen a pup that young themselves, so what do they know? The Border Collie pups I bred were wobbly up until about 9 or 10 weeks, and there was nothing at all wrong with their legs. And as I said, Dempsey at 6 weeks was all over the place, he couldn't keep his back legs in the right place to hold him up & he seemed very weak, but he's as strong as an ox now! Don't forget their muscles at that age haven't had enough time to strengthen, but they soon will.

I've said it before, but I wish there had been forums like this when I had my first dogs! I wouldn't have made half the mistakes I made back then.

Awww all your dogs are so lovely and so good looking. Your teeny tiny girls legs I think is a simple case of her strengthening her muscles etc as time goes by and as she matures in her own time. I can see what you mean re being 'wide' but again as everything matures, develops and tightens you'll ask yourself what was all the worry about? lol! Plus she is a staff.a fter all and quite alot of them have that bow legged stance at the back. Our old boy did Big Grin

Your dog is still a baby.Give it time before making any Judgements/Spending money about her development. That's my opinion.

I think we all worry far to much for our own good when it comes to our dogs, it's because we love them so much.

Don't forget, she's only 2 months old - she has plenty of time to strengthen.

A poor diet can effect the legs and how they develop, im sure its not the case here.
We all have different walks dogs the same but the stafford should walk four square and parallel the legs being pulled from the front and pushed from the back but it takes a puppy time to learn to co-ordinate the power and drive movement. Smile

poor diet could be correct tho. when we got her she was eating adult dog biscuits from her parents bowl and she was just over 5 wks. ive got her on james wellbeloved mixed with small amount of lactol to help her. she has very long skinny legs and a fat belly lol so suppose that doesnt help. she has her 2nd dose of imms next wednesday ill just mention it to the vet then. xx
