Chiquitos limp .. update
3 months, 3 x-rays, a CT and ultrasound later, we have finally found the cause of Chiquito's limp .... he has a fractured sesamoid in his 2nd toe (over the big pad of his foot). The bone is in about 6 pieces
The ortho vet says it is uncommon that they fracture this particular toe, even more uncommon that it happens in a young dog and that he has never seen it happen in a staff.
For being unique, Chiquito gets a full leg cast and splint for 4-6 weeks ... then we cross or fingers it doesn't need surgery.
Poor little man is struggling with the cast

Poor chiquito, hope it all heals soon
At least now you know what it is and can deal with it, better than not knowing what it is and to keep having to guess at things it might be.
