Gabby and the Christmas tree
Well our first night went ok.
Gabby likes her crate, knows to use the pads when we can't/don't see the signs.
She had us up every 2 hours, for such a small pup she has got a cracking set of lungs on her.
We've tried to keep her to the kitchen and conservatory for now, until her wee wee's are more controllable.
Although she does like to sneak in and perch under the tree, looking at the shiny balls.
Hard work but,but nothing more than we was expecting.
Loving every minute of her company.

Re: Gabby and the Christmas tree
Bless! The only advise I will give is if she wakes you every 2 hours don't succumb to going to her (assuming you are) as that will make it worse, you have to be cruel to be kind Xx

Re: Gabby and the Christmas tree
Ah bless little Gabby. Janey's right I'm afraid, if your pup is going to sleep apart from you then you will have to harden your heart and ignore the shrieking. I'm sure you know about well wrapped warm bottles, ticking clocks etc; better yet is a Tshirt or something that really smells of you, all so she doesn't feel abandoned. Don't forget that she has been used to snuggling up with her siblings at night, so make sure that she is cosy and warm in her bed, cos if she feels cold she is more likely to wake in the night. Early days yet, you'll get there!

Thanks for the advice guys.
Just have to see what tonight brings.
Her crate is fit for a princess,I'd of got in with her if I could.
Haha. carpet has little wet patches all over now where we've scrubbed the mishaps up.

Re: Gabby and the Christmas tree
Wow
What a difference last night was compared to gabby's first night.
She went to bed at 9pm woke us at 11pm,and then again at 1am only because she locked herself out of her crate.
We have decided to leave her crate door open at night, only because the first night she did a poo in her crate then stood in it and trampled it all over her top blanket.
Glad to say no poo poo's last night, saved it for us at 5:30am and did it outside.(on the step).
So proud of our lil princess Gabby.
*I apologise if your eating breakfast whilst reading this.
