Re: Big or not??
Hi and welcome from the girlies and me He does sound big at 6 month but some are bigger than others. Breed standard dictates they should be 14-16 inches at the withers and for a male 13-17kg.

Re: Big or not??
sound like an cross breed to me 17" at 6 month it going be bigger then american bulldog
Re: Big or not??
Well, he's only an inch over the standard, and a lot of dogs reach their full height between 6 & 9 months, so he may not grow much taller if at all. If that's the case, then he won't be that much bigger than the max. height.
Any chance of some pics?

At your boys age he should be getting 2/3 30min on lead walks per day, with of lead play too. I'm not sure what sara feeds, my girl is fed raw.

Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
He is a very handsome lad, I think there maybe a bit EBT in him but I'm useless at guessing crosses.

I would say 100% he is not a full stafford. His face shape is totally wrong.
I take it you didn't see his parents?

Re: Big or not??
The trouble with a dog of his age is that they go through weird growth spurts! They'll get leggy & thin, then chunky several times!
To be honest, he looks like a stafford to me, although his muzzle seems a little long for a pure bred staff. But as I said, their growth can go through many changes up to about 18 months!

Well my staffy is 19" tall and weighs 24kg so he's over standard but is an unpapered staff, but he's nearly 3 now and leveled out.
He certainly seems to look like a staffy cross, and looks like possibly EBT in him, how much does he weigh? sorry if i missed it

Re: Big or not??
Many "Staffies" have something mixed into them a few generations back, you will never know for sure unless you have full papers. My Kuchar's dad was undoubtedly a pure Staff, but his mum had much longer legs (and was longer in body as well) than standard, so Kuchar at a few days off 2 years old is taller than standard (don't ask me to measure him, he won't stand still!) and weighs just over 21 kilos (4 kilos heavier than standard). Everyone takes him as a Staff (although he doesn't have the huge head which tbh I'm glad about, as he still looks like a puppy in profile and has the sweetest face).
Your pup is gorgeous and I'm sure you love him; continue to feed him well on good quality food so that he grows to his full potential, exercise him sensibly as suggested above (no trying to build muscle!), train him to be well-behaved and friendly to all, and you'll have a dog to be proud of!

Hi. You have a lovely dog but i don't think that he is a full staff. More likely his parents are "staffies" who had a crossbred in their history. Without papers you will never know.

Re: Big or not??
Hi Oz is about 20 - 21 inches to his shoulder (he wouldn't stand still) he is fed on nature diet which is all natural food and gets about an hour exercise in the morning and the same if nit more in the evening. If OH is at home he gets another hour during the day, he has so much energy so us important that we give him loads of exercise but also brain games to make him think which also tires him out x
