Cold sores!!!
Re: Cold sores!!!
Oh, you poor thing! Do you have any Zovirax (is that how it's spelt?). If you apply it early on it really does shorten the stay of those horrible things!

Re: Cold sores!!!
I never used to use anything, either, but when we went to San Francisco I got a real belter of one on the first day! It was really sore & ugly. Out there they have pharmacy advisors & you just go to the 'advice' counter & tell them what's wrong. The pharmacist was fantastic - she advised their generic version of Zovirax & within 2 days you could hardly see the little (big) horror!

Oooh that sounds great we used to have a pharmacist like that he's was amazing but alas he's retired now and the new people don't bother.

Zovirax is the thing to use. Don't stick to the 4 or 5 times a day they recommend, but ladle it on heavy and often. I did this last week and the beggars dried up within 2 days. Then I applied Blistex Relief Cream ad lib, and slathers of Germolene at night. Hateful things, they need a sledgehammer attack.

Re: Cold sores!!!
Try and get hold of Lysine as well, that is really effective in clearing and preventing them.
