Last week i went to the vet for some drops for my budgies, just general mite and worming type jobby. They gave me a different one than i had before and it was for pigeons but they promised it was okay.

Blody budgies gone and died and it has to have been the drops! He died this morning on the way to the vets and they said sorry and refunded me for the drops.  angry

RIP Eddie, my favorite budgie  Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Oh poor little Eddie, and poor you too Hayley. He looked like such a lovely little bird.

Much smaller than a pigeon - did they take that into account?

Big hugs to you  Furious with the vets 3198918699

Who knows what the took into account, they are the vet i use for everything and they are a good no questions asked and no advice given that you don't want kind of vet, but the know jack * about birds. I will remember that in future.

Many years ago I took a budgie to the vets (can't remember why now) , but I do remember being jeered at in the vets waiting room by other people waiting "Haha fancy bring a budgie to the vets!  rolling on the floor   rolling on the floor  ) I was so embarrassed. Seems like they're not taken seriously.

Are your other budgies OK Hayley?

What a shame, Eddie was stunning Sad
I also have a couple of budgies and cockatiels - our vet knows very little about birds either, but avian vets are very hard to find.
