Stupid OH has given me his cold/flu type thing just in time for my trip to Highclere Castle (DOWNTON ABBEY WOOHOO) Christmas Fair tomorrow and a long drive up to Liverpool/Manchester for the weekend.

I feel like absolute poo. But Bruno is looking after me and giving me lots of lovely cuddles.

Another of the infected here, well it's trying to take hold sore throat, stuffy sinuses expect it to hit fully when I start rest days after nights tonight

It seems to be a particularly nasty one this year - my flu jab was useless at keeping it at bay and it seems to go on forever.

Today is Downton Abbey day! I've been excited for weeks ever since winning the tickets on eBay...


And I feel like poo. Coldy fluey symptoms and now it feels like someone is standing on my chest too. Oh well... I'll just have to make the best of it.

Won't be around today as you've probably guessed. And I'm off to stay with my sister so you won't see much of me until Monday now! Have a great weekend everyone!

Highclere is amazing! Smaller than I expected but still amazing it's very strange seeing how different it is to what's on the telly. And I learnt that the kitchens in the show are actually just a set in London!! Let down!

But it was amazing, lots of lovely local crafty and food stalls, a giant Christmas tree, mulled wine, carolers, so much to see! It was wonderful and has really got me into the Christmas spirit!

And now I'm going to take a nap because I'm still feeling ill and a have a long drive later. Best be prepared!

Hope you feel better and have a lovely weekend. I'm dosed up on apple n cinnamon lemsips and treating myself to a take away curry to try and chase the lurgy out of my system

Being stuck on the M40 for three hours hasn't helped my cold or my mood. Currently sitting in a service station really needing to pee but not wanting to leave Bruno alone in the car because there's a suspicious looking van behind me with two men sitting in it who have just watched me walk around with Bruno so he could wee.

Might drive onto the next one and try again...

Hmm does sound a bit dodgy, could you move the car closer to the entrance?

Tbh I wanted to stay away from the light to stop people seeing him, but these guys are freaking me out. I'm moving on to the next one!

I left at 5pm and my arrival time on the sat nav is 12:10am. I'm trying VERY hard not to cry at the moment.

I arrived at 1am! Was stuck in standstill traffic again at about half 11 which cleared after about half an hour. Got big cuddles from OH when I finally rocked up, which made it all worth it.

Oh and Everton won!
