Long overdue update
I thought give you all a update on the mad one we call Cassie. When David first said we were having a Stafford i was so unsure as I Was afraid of dogs. But he was right she has been a godsend since his passing, I am sure you all have the same feelings towards your little babies. Cassie is so intuitive it's unbelievable and defies logic, she as David used to say can be like tigger on speed and be very boisterous but she can also be so gentle and loving and she seems to know what I need and when I need it. She is fiercely protective of me (and her stag horn lol) She has the loveliest eye's that when I feel down she seems to have a shiny tear ready to fall, when I need to laugh she is my clown, but as you all will know it's the wet nose snuggles and all over licks that say "I know I love you too" that makes her MY baby. Anyway I will carry on looking at your cute pictures and videos, take care of all of you

So lovely to hear from you again Ali, and hear about Cassie. It's great to hear that you and she are such a loving team, she must be such a comfort to you.
I see you have your location as Devon - to the best of my memory you were living a lot further north previously. In which case, I hope you are settled and happy in your new home, and will stay in touch with us.
Best love to you and Cassie

Re: Long overdue update
Thank you all for your posts and lovely words, yes Lynda you are correct I was further north, after David had passed I found a list of places he hoped to visit and I ended up moving here because it is a fresh start and a beautiful place to start over in, again he was right and proved he knew me. A couple of weeks after I lost him I found a treasure hunt he had set up when he went for his counselling sessions as he called them with Cassie, he and she had buried a tin behind a tree in his favourite spot for me to find. It had a letter in, a list of songs for me and places he hoped to live if he lived and as they say here we are Cassie and I close to his heart fulfilling his wishes and I thank him every day

Ali, the story of the tin has just broken me up.
I can't say any more, except that I hope with all my heart that you and Cassie are happy in your new home, and that you'll stay in touch with us.
