Pebbles' teeth and braces...
Hi, took Pebbles to the vet for her weight in (she is 10.5 kilos! ) and her worming and general check up.
Vet noticed her lower canines are growing slightly inwards which could cause them to dig into her palate at some point.
So vet suggested we push on her canines in an outward motion a little bit every day, and that because the bones are still soft it should help.
If it doesn't then she may have to see a specialist vet to be fitted with braces.
Anyone has ever had a similar problem? What was the outcome?
Thanks

Re: Pebbles' teeth and braces...
Thanks anyway Janey.
I have googled it a bit and a few people have said you shouldn't mess around with puppies' teeth until after 8 months old when all the adult teeth have come out as sometimes it simply correct itself.
Hmm... we will try the pushing method anyway but if next month the vet says we need to put braces in i might just say let's wait a bit longer.
But would a vet suggest something that isn't really an urgency...

Re: Pebbles' teeth and braces...
Sorry to dig up an old thread but we just got the exact same news from our vet this afternoon. Valentine is 5 months and has most of her puppy teeth.
