Debo had his first ever drumstick.
I feed Debo dry food but thought it would be nice for him to have some raw meat as a treat. I couldn't get any wing so went for drumstick. At first he didn't know what to do with it, had to hold it for him. When put it down he looked at me like he wanted to say" What am I supposed to do with it now?" . And when I was holding it for him and his lip touched my finger the horror in his eyes and he was so delicate while I was holding it like he knew what demage he could do. Now. Wouldn't the drumstick too much for him? I mean with the bones and skin? It's all new for me.

Aww, bless him. No, the raw drumstick will be fine - bones and all

Yeah will be fine
Ive just changed Daisy to raw and she's also very unsure of meat on the bone, like she doesn't know what to do with it. However, if I give them to her frozen, she eats them straight away!

Yes that should be fine to feed him bless, my girl Ebony woofs them down but Charlie likes to take his time! They're all different in how they eat! Just make sure you always supervise him when he's eating them Enjoy Debo!

Re: Debo had his first ever drumstick.
Probably silly question but where do you feed them raw food? Cant imagine having him chomping on carcasses around the house! Lol
Also where do you buy your drumsticks etc?

Re: Debo had his first ever drumstick.
Tommy has been on raw chicken drumsticks, wings and carcasses since he was 9 weeks old.
I would always supervise them though. Tommy is great with bones but my sister started feeding her older two English Bull Terriers on raw after reading up on it and one of them nearly chocked on a wing. Her husband had to get his hand in the dogs throat to remove the wing, apparently it was very scared. Drumsticks, thighs and carcasses are better due to the shape and size, they make sure the dogs crunches and chews. Wings are an odd shape and fold back on themselves meaning they can get lodged in the dogs throat if they're not used to chewing and crunching.

If your worried hold one end of the bone and let them crunch the other, you can also feed the bones still frozen to help slow them down
