my dog debo
Can anybody help me. I brought a 13month old staffy last weekend. He is very loving with me and my partner and very well behaved, but when somone comes rlund to the house he sniffs and licks them then all of a sudden goes to bite them. i need to rehome him as i have too young nephews and cant trust him around them. is there any one experienced enough to take him in and help me. My only other option is to have him put down and i really really dont want to do that as he has got a really loving side too. thanks x

Re: my dog debo
goto a rescue center we dont do private rehoming... dogsas to be tested to see if the yare fit enought to be rehomed.
Re: my dog debo
Do you know the dogs background, when people come round put him on a lead so you can socialise him whilst under control

Try to adapt the advice given in the following thread - but you'll have to be firm & consistent!

you only got him last week. have you done any training with him? does he know what his boundaries are? where did you get him from? did you spend any time with him to know his behaviour before re-homing him? if he keeps getting passed on no wonder he doesnt know how to behave!

Re: my dog debo
I understand your anxiety about your nephews coming round if you feel you cannot retrain him then dont sell him on please rehome him with a staffordshire bull terrier rescue but with training him you will be able to change his behaviour stop the licking then he doesnt escilate

wow a 13 month old staffy is mouthing.......thats unusual lol (im joking by the way) That is just so comman in an untrained staff its unreal and 2 be honest even in a trained staff mouthing can still be an issue at this age........and 2 think your going to kill him 4 it.......unbelieveable.

Giving up so soon? You dont just bring home a 13 month old dog and expect perfection immediately.
