Thoughts on pork necks?
Occasional fatty treat or not really suitable?
Have just hooked up with a butcher who is giving me as many raw meaty bones and pork necks as I like a week - said it saves him disposal costs.
Wingo and Weemsy have just had a pork neck each - the sounds they made when they saw their treats.

Re: Thoughts on pork necks?
They're fine for treats, but as you say, they can be quite fatty, so maybe not too often!

Yeah, very occasional. With Dempsey, I'd prefer not to at all because he has a sensitive stomach and he's already chubby enough, but as the odd treat for a dog whose stomach can handle it, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Re: Thoughts on pork necks?
Necks & spines are really good because the bone is slightly softer & more easily chewed and digested.

Re: Thoughts on pork necks?
Wingo and Weemsy have had two each so far without issue.
I'm a bit surprised how quickly they disappear and also a bit disgusted at the noises Weemsy makes while eating it - he sounds like some mad axe murderer - but other than that, all good.
