Charlies Transformation! (extremly picture heavy!)
Here's a biiig bunch of pictures I've got to show Charlie (my young staffie cross Ambull) his body condition improvements from when he got out the kennels Some pictures won't be very good quality but I hope you enjoy
Day home:
Random pictures and playing!
Learning new things and being patient
Happy bouncy boy (we went back to where i work!)
Stealing apples with his best friend Ebony who looks as if she's had nothing to do with it
Posey pictures!
Sleepy puppy ...
First time camping!
First time on his long line when he was better

A big thank you to everyone! I am very proud of my big goofballella wrote: it's like looking at Chance, he's gorgeous!

Do you think he's an American Bull Dog Ella? Now he's getting older he's getting bigger! He looked more staffy when he was smaller and underweight but I'm not sure if he's a cross anymore! The vets don't seem to think he's a cross either and looking at Chance, they're almost twins from Charlie's white side! the pictures are just under 2 months old so he's a bit different looking now

Re: Charlies Transformation! (extremly picture heavy!)
I don't know hun he has a very staffy face, how big is he? Chance stands about 25" to the shoulder (ish i can't remember exactly) and is 48kg whereas harv is just 24kg as of now! he's gorgeous regardless

Re: Charlies Transformation! (extremly picture heavy!)
Just got the tape on him he's not long turned 1, he's 23 and a little bit inches to the shoulder and his last weigh in was a while back but he weighed 39.6kg, but he needed a bit more weight on at that point! I don't care what he is really, I just find it interesting I love him regardless

Re: Charlies Transformation! (extremly picture heavy!)
Well he could be then, they do vary in size with about 35kg being the smallest for a male ambull did you see this thread i did about ambull types?

Re: Charlies Transformation! (extremly picture heavy!)
Thank you both of you! yes! He weighed a shocking 16.7kg!(his last weigh in was 39.6 but that was a whole ago, and he still needed some weight on him) When we got him back home he didn't move much and when he did he took a while to get up, he couldn't get onto the bed, on the chairs, up the stairs or anything bless him. He didn't get walks for a while either because all he wanted to do was lay down and snuggle with ebony! It took him ages to eat so we had to hold him up to eat so he didn't get bloat or anything! I don't get how people can be so cruel to animals

Re: Charlies Transformation! (extremly picture heavy!)
Nope, I haven't posted his story but I know it yes :)the previous owners had him tied up in the garden from apparently 6 weeks old, the people next door complained to the police about them keeping a puppy out side all weathers, apparently they'd never seen him get fed and the man used to kick him but the RSPCA didn't do anything, the police siezed him and brought him to us. He was a little bag of bones, came in when he was 9 months old and his vet card said he'd been there at 3 weeks old, that he was SBT and was called Junior! We found all kinda of things in his feaces such as plastic bags, paper, metal cans, sticks, screws, chunks of wood! When the owners got questioned they said they couldn't deal with his boisterous behaviour so they kept him out side. He was riddled with fleas and worms, his fur was a yellowy colour, his paws had been damaged because of being out side all the time so they were all swollen and his nailed were ruined, some of his teeth were cracked and stained, he had cuts and bruises all over him, cuts on his face and ears and he couldn't move his neck because of the chain they kept round him. When he came we had to carry him to his kennel, he was kept him in isolation because of his fleas ect and to kee him calm. We kept him shut inside with rubber matting and fleecy blankets inside with regular intervals of feeding and being let into the run outside, he barely moved or anything but he did improve a lot! We couldn't find foster for him, and after he was a bit better he was allowed on walks and was put into the blocks with all the dogs and he did gain a lot of weight and muscle cause he never stopped moving and was a happy chappy! As with Chance, someone was coming to view him on the Sunday but mom fell in love with the video of him playin I showed her so I brought ebony down on Saturday and they clicked straight away so we bathed him and brought him home! When he got home he just completely conked out/siezed up and just wanted to relax and not move! Took him about 3 weeks to want to go out, when he did go in the garden he'd shiver like mad so we brought him a harness and took him out on that to do his business! He doesn't always enjoy his walkies now, and when we went camping we tethered him and he was a complete mess (we never left him alone and he could be with everyone) but he was shivering, dribbling, whining and barking and would eat for a week after!
So basically, he was left in the garden a few weeks old in all weathers and didn't get fed... Yet he doesn't have any resentment to anyone or anything! Sometimes he acts up, and he's nervous in new situations but besides that he's the happiest dog ever
And thank you so much Rachel, that's very kind of you! I'd literally have them all if I could

Awww thanks Stella! He is a big handsome boy now andhe definitely knows it he's got a lot of lady friends
And I know Ella bless him, what was Chances story? I can't believe the condition they were both in, I thought maybe something similar had happened to him? I most definitely missed the story of that if you posted it

We don't know WHO his owner(s) were but he was used in dog fighting, for X amount of time, he spent most of his time in a tiny crate, hence the sleeping sitting up and chipped front teeth, he had cigarette burns over him particularly on his head and muzzle, starved very much like Charlie, totally unsocialised with most things

You have done an amazing thing with this little man, Hugo too was very skinny but not like this. The world needs more people like you and Ella instead of breeding, people should rescue. The rewards are endless!!

Thank you Rory and Debs! I always think "oh yeah he was skinny" but when I see these pictures it shocks me as I don't remember him being so thin, then to think he was thinner when he came into kennels it really takes me back!
I agree, Ella did a fantastic job with Chance also! She's my idol!
