Max's weekend ( picture heavy )
Hello everyone,
well its been a very long weekend!
ill start from beginning lol.
I bought my mum a present on friday, a DSLR, and OH had a good idea, to make a suprise visit
so we woke up at 4am and took a 4 hour drive to South Yorkshire ( with Max ) and finally made to my mums.
ahhh her expression was priceless!!
but she had an even better expression when i gave her her camera . Her expressions made it all worth the long trip!
Max straight away remembered one of my mums dogs Missy, and even Luca and Katie, katie is a 6month old German Sherpard, who max never met before but didnt even bat an eye lid to her, they played in the garden it was great to see, apart from my mums dog Luca who has slight aggression issues but he's doing great
so then my mum asked me if i wanted to go to class with her ( dog training ) as i forgot she had class on saturdays, anyway i thought it would of been a good idea to go so off we went.
we got there, and i all of the sudden got nervous as hell, her trainer is SO nice!!
anyway ill skip ahead a little lol,
Max did FANTASTIC!! at the begining he was being quite mean to one of the dogs in particular ( Doberman ).
we got split into 2 groups and we all had to walk past each other and so on and I couldnt of been more proud of max, he was great.
the trainer set up a little course all the dogs went ahead and jumped the jumps, max missed a few at first but then got the hang of it, ahhh he did great! his concentration was on me at all times, wouldnt take his eyes of me bless him.
he jumped 4 jumps and 2 long jumps and then went to the red mat for a sit and stay for the finish and wow am i amazed by dog!!
our team won the agility competition
then we all had to go in a big circle and we all had to start walking the circle whilst the trainer shouted out commands, the last dog to do the command is out - it was real good fun
and believe it or not but max won the competition!!
he listened and done the commands as soon as i said them, i couldn't of asked him to do them any quicker, he was on the ball and did brilliant! he got treats and loads of love for winning it. the exact words of the trainer were " your mum told me that you trained max up good, but she didn't tell me that he seems pretty highly trained, you 2 work amazing with each other " oooh i felt so happy hearing that, knowing im doing good with him despite his aggression, it sounds a little silly but i was pretty much in tears that day because i couldn't believe how well behaved he was and how much he wanted to please me.
he obviously still had issues with the dogs but because they weren't bothering him, he got bored of it.
after the agility and command competition we went on a 1hour and 30min walk which was awesome, Max had loads of fun and so did i
sorry for writing so much lol, but i thought id share, so pics im showing now are not off staffys really, i took pics of the class and the dogs, the 3 white german shepherds are my mums.
sorry not many pics of Max, but i couldnt let my sister do all the work with him AND another dog lol, sorry its very picture heavy
here are a couple of other pics of Maxi
