at nights wen i finsh work I'm love to see my dogs but all my fiancé can do is bitch offing moan how she wants to be left alone especially with diesel its all she does and its really starting to annoy me.

i now feel if she don't change I'm leaving and taking my dogs with me

well i work from 3.30 to 11.30 pm and she worked from 8.30 to 6.30pm but when she gets home shiest realise the dogs be locked up for a few hours before getting out of their crates and its mainly the new little puppy diesel she cracking up at and she don't seem to understand he's just happy to see her and he's just a lil hyper

sounds like you really need to sit down and talk to her,pups look all lovely and cute but can be hard work,may be a routine can be sorted out between you both for the dogs and so you can have time for yourselfs  

Not a nice position to be in, as said you both need to talk and work out some compromise.Good luck  

Ditch the girlfriend keep the dogs , easiest and most rewarding solution

My dogs come first and foremost and ive lost alot because of that but although in a way they chose me I chose to bring them back. Puppies can be very very hard work and alot of people on here will back me up on that. But remember they dont stay like that forever... my cute fluffball is now dominating my new gf's cross who is twice his size its a never ending battle but when everything is setteled its the best place in the world to be it will get better just have some faith and stick with it.

It took me a while to persuade the Mr to have Lily (years) and then Lola but he is as 'soft as clarts' when he has anything to do with them

Daryll, I'm so sorry to hear that you're having stress with your partner over your puppy. Naturally, after being in a crate for 3 hours, he will overjoyed to see her, and need weeing and pooing, probably exercise and feeding, and lots of play and affection. This is quite a lot of work, especially after working 10 hours when she's probably tired and also needs to get dinner etc. and see to other domestic chores.

I do feel for you both. Puppyhood doesn't last forever, but in the meantime it is hard work, and maybe some interim measures need to be discussed between you as to how you are both going to cope with the situation as it as the moment. For example, would it be possible to get someone, even a professional dog-walker, to take some of the load of puppy-care from your gf until he gets more settled into your routines of life?

Of course you love your dogs Daryll, but they are both still very young and one still a baby, so they are going to be hard work and time consuming.

At the risk of repeating myself, I can't help but think that if your gf could be relieved of the pressure of caring for the many needs of a young dog and puppy after 10 hours work, with everything else she has to do before you return from work, then you would all be a lot happier.

Do please talk with her - I don't suppose she's any happier than you are about the situation.  s to all of you

I feel for you.

My partner and I argued over the puppy a lot in the first few weeks, but we've found a routine that works for us and we're sticking with it. So far that seems to have reduced the stress levels in the house!

I'm sure your girlfriend loves the pup really but it is very stressful having a young puppy around. I work from home and I'm in and out all day so our puppy is mainly my responsibility. There have been times I've been in tears of frustration because of it all.
Now my partner understands that when he walks in the door from work, Bruno is 50% his responsibility and he is expected to pull his weight. Sometimes I'll go upstairs by myself for a while just to get some time away from Bruno, which sounds mean but it's necessary!

I nearly had to give up Harley cos my partner hated him..put him up on sites (the dog not the bloke) but after he realised how much better he would get after his 9month terror period he now plays with him and loves him! Getting Harley to 'say hi' like waving his paw was a good breaker..maybe some cute heart melting tricks might help?!
