Straining going to the toilet
Lola has been on raw for a few weeks now, when its time to do her buisness it looks like she has to push quite hard. Is this normal?

What's the poop like when she goes Harry? Could be too much bone?

I'd try reducing the bone content a bit. How much offal do you give?

Re: Straining going to the toilet
That probably isn't enough, especially as liver should form at least half of the offal so at least 5% of the total food. There's hardly any liver in a chicken!
You'll need to cut down on bone & increase the offal. Do you only feed chicken?

Re: Straining going to the toilet
Personally I don't like the mince because you can't control the amount of bone/offal (I take it the mince is complete with bone & offal?).

Re: Straining going to the toilet
Yes, as I said, I don't really like them. You have no control over the amounts.

Have you read Ella's thread on raw? It's really good & explains the basics well...Neil. wrote:I know what you mean , but as a complete novice to raw feeding i think its a good way to start , i will introduce more variety when i get more into it :-)
