Eyes
Hi everyone, just a quick question, i'm not sure if this is normal or not
When we first adopted Oz his bottom eyelid curled inwards, we went to the vet as his eye kept getting very red and he was obviously iin some discomfort but of course Oz never showed any pain. He had an operation to bring the eyelid down a bit and its now perfect. the only thing is he keeps getting a bit if a red eye, where it should be white, it happens especially if he has been playing tug or war or doing lots and lots of chasing about.
should i be worried?

Re: Eyes
The redness of the eye could be due to blood pressure being slightly raised during play, just mention it to the vet next time you are there.

Re: Eyes
Have you mentioned it to the vet? Have you checked to see if there are any other eyelashes curling inwards (entropion)?
It could just be a sensitive eye & you could try bathing with a cooled, used tea bag twice a day to see if it helps. If it happens often, though, I'd mention it to Ozzy's personal physician!

Re: Eyes
Vinnies eyes also get quite red when tired or excitement or worked up.
Probably best to mention to the vet though after his past trouble xx

Re: Eyes
Nico had both his eyes operated on for cherry eye ( eyelid popping out) if he's been pulling, running about they get a bit red again, our vet said as long as he's not itching them and there is no discharge it's fine, he's just gonna be prone to conjunctivitis as he gets older, none so far but we keep an eye on it just in case.
