I know it's so true. I'm looking at Debo now and can't believe that he will be gone one day.

I empathise with the above, Nature's law is that our dogs won't live as long as we'd wish them to. I spent many tears and anguish over my last Dobie - what will I do when you're gone, I love you so much etc. Unfortunately this "preparation" didn't lessen the anguish I felt when she did eventually pass over to Rainbow Bridge.

I hope I've learned not to anticipate pain in advance, and enjoy every one of my dog's days.
