I loved fish and chips Steve! These are similar but once you open them you want more

Ooh I loved those fish n chips. My Nans roast when I came home from Sunday school, if it was lamb I would pinch the little bone off the leg, cooked in an old fashioned oven by the open fire

Kids actually playing outside. Also, less responsibility was very nice! Some things are best when remembered though... I was in a hurry to grow up...

Re: what do you miss from your childhood?
Being a child mostly with not a care in the world. Our Christmases used to be great too with a huge sack of presents under the tree, living at home with all my brothers being around, they are all older than me, I was always the baby. They are all so funny too and i spent most of my childhood laughing at all their stories at dinner time - happy days.

Patiently waiting til my brother had eaten all of his Christmas chocolate before I started any of mine, and the treasure hunt we used to do, one present an hour to make the day last. That and going to the football with my dad

Re: what do you miss from your childhood?
If we're just talking foody things - the huge range of sweeties we had to choose from. I feel so sorry for children these days - jelly/foamy things seem to be about all available to them. Where have tiger nuts, liquorice imps, strawberry pompoms, chewtoffs, coconut ice, palm toffee bars, real chocolate etc etc etc gone?

When I first moved out I used to go round and visit my mum once a week with a carrier bag and nick loads of food from her freezer I miss that too.
She lives 350 miles away, otherwise I'd still be doing it
