Baldy - staffy cross

Baldy is under the care of Animal Helpline, near Peterborough, Cambs.

Baldy has been at the rescue for a few months and was a bit under the weather when he arrived. His coat wasn't great, either, hence his name.

Now, he's been nursed back to health and his coat has blossomed.

As part of their experience at the rescue, the dogs get to try out agility courses to keep them mentally stimulated - Baldy did a pretty good job, according to the volunteers. Another dog with a happy waggy tail and an eagerness to please.

He was good enough at agility (ie, focused) not to need a lead - he went hurtling over the jumps and through the tunnel on the promise of a treat instead. Not bad considering he's not had much practice.

Baldy is described as being cat friendly (although, obviously, introductions as always need to be done properly and carefully) and has been an ambassador dog for the rescue, attending local awareness-raising events, where he has met children and cats, and was apparently spot on with all.

Travels well in a travel crate and is well known for diving onto his back for belly rubs. Smile

Age to come, but a young boy.
