Rocky breaking down doors!!
Sometimes I have to put Rock outside when I have someone in to fix something, or if I need to vacuum and mop the floors. So I put him in the yard, give him a kong or a treat and ensure his toys and food/water are out there. It's not for long but boy oh boy does he have a whinge.
I have a sliding fly screen door......that he has now figured out how to pull it off it's tracks and squeeze his way through!!! At first I didn't believe he had done it, until I saw it with my own eyes, I've had to replace the wheels on the sliding door 3 times now and don't know how to stop him, I tell him a strong no or leave while he is in the act, and if I don't catch him in time he goes straight back out while I ignore him.
What do I do!?

He is a naughty boy lately! Thanks Hayley, I wasn't sure if I should be doing something else as he just keeps doing it! I'll keep persisting and hope it stops soon!

Re: Rocky breaking down doors!!
Could you not just leave the door off until the workmen have left, that way he cannot get through it
We have a folding door in our lounge that Rocky can get through, although we don't very often close it.

Re: Rocky breaking down doors!!
Well, while someone is in fixing something im not too bothered if he is in or out, only if the person is not too fond of dogs will I take him out, and as I'm having renovations done one guy in particular is not fond of dogs at all, so instead of cooping him in a room for the time he is here I'd rather him have the run of the yard. I've brought him inside and put him on the long training lead and tie it to something if I need to stay inside for long otherwise he keeps trying to break in, otherwise I stay out with him and keep him distracted!
and I vacuum and mop everyday, so he is outside for about 15 minutes, but still tries to do it no matter what!!

The little monkey . Having said that, have you tried to vac and mop with Rocky in the house?
Totally understand putting him in the yard when you have builders round to fix things if they wary of dogs.
