Feeding advice :) Empty Feeding advice :)

Hi all.

We have had our 3 year old rescue staffy, Kiara for just over 3 weeks now. We are feeding her on applaws dry food once per day on an evening after we have eaten. Just wondered how this sounds to everyone? We don't feed her twice a day as we was told that she shouldn't be fed until after an hour after walking and we walk her shortly before going to work so this is not possible.

Hope this all makes sense Smile

Cheers

Yes feeding once a day is perfectly fine for an adult dog, but like you said do make sure you don't feed before or after walking

Cheers guys. Have been reading bits and pieces on dog bloat as well tonight, has worried me silly! This is my first dog and I want to make sure she is healthy

Bloat is nasty, but you can help to lessen the chances of her getting it. One of the main causes is exercise too close to a meal and you're avoiding that, so that's good!

I feed twice a day, but many, many people feed once - it depends what suits both you and your dog.thumbs up

Thanks, I always leave it at least an hour after her walk before feeding her.
