Lucy came a week early
We got to take our Lucy home on Saturday instead of waiting until this Friday.
At 7 weeks she is a little nipper; but I'm sure will grow out of it in time.
She is our little girl and we think she is gorgeous

Re: Lucy came a week early
She's beautiful, but it would have been better to wait.
Hard to wait, though, for something as gorgeous as she is.

Re: Lucy came a week early
As already mentioned it would have been better to wait that extra week until Lucy was at least 8 weeks, she's a very beautiful little girl.

Elsie is the same, we have more toys than pets at home, but skin is her fav. we did find wearing wellie boots helped. Elsie soon realized that she didn,t get a reaction, so our feet and ankles are bite free,
can,t help with the upper body, we look like we have walked through a forest of brambles:-$

Re: Lucy came a week early
She is an adorable little baby and yes she is a bit on the tiny side to leave her mum and siblings.
But all puppies will nip in play - please look at http://staffy-bull-terrier.com/stop_your_staffy_puppy_biting which should help you a lot.
We're looking forward to hearing more from you and your furbaby!

Re: Lucy came a week early
Hi, thank you for you kind remarks
I must admit too taking my pick of the photo's to show her at her cuddliest.
We had a choice whether to wait another week or take her now.
Lucy weighed in at 3.4 kg while at the breeders, had been weaned and was on complete and a raw meat diet.
Play fighting amongst the puppies was happening day/night so none of the puppies were getting any rest.
Now Lucy is home with us she is eating well, only waking up once in the night to have a wee and going straight back to sleep again. "Kathy this isn't the first puppy we have had and I would not have taken her if I thought it wasn't wise"
This morning she was up-and-about at 7.30am,tucking into her breakfast at 8.
At this moment (10.18) she is throwing her toys about and running about the room- looks like a very interesting day ahead

But that's how they learn bite inhibition. Seven weeks isn't the end of the world, but 8 weeks is better!suzieJ wrote:

LOL - looks like she will be learning with us, Caryll,
She is not interested in feet, just hands, and maybe an earlobe or too!
