My pup loves wainwrights turkey and rice but after 6 weeks or so on it his stool has never really settled,(in the morning his stools are good and firm, during the day there soft sometimes and it sometimes comes out like you would see ice-cream come out of a machine into a cone, lol is best how i would discribe it (sorry if i have put anyone off buying ice-creams haha.its seems like a really nice tasty rich in meat food but maybe 33% turkey meat mite be alittle heavy on him.

Other flavours you can get is - duck/rice - lamb/rice salmon/rice, i ashume that out of all the meats that turkey is the lightest out of duck and lamb.

I think salmon mite be a very good one to use i think for sure his stools will settle.

Im alittle worried tho incase he mite not like it, i put warm water in his food and he clears the bowl im thinking salmon wont be as tasty or even nice with warm water?

Can i also just change flavour straight away if i do.

I had this problem for quite a while with Zeus, I had him on a number of different foods (some of the best, like Orijen/Applaws/Wainwrights/Wafcol etc) but he never settled with them, his stools were always loose and watery, due to the high protein content. His stomach simply doesnt digest it and he was diagnosed with Colitis.

After over a year of trial and error, we moved him onto 'Symply' Salmon and Potato and (touchwood), it's worked wonders. Pretty much the same price as any other food, I pay £44 for a big bag and his stools are perfect, his fur is shiny and its working well. He's now been on it for several months and going strong.

There are selected suppliers so finding it around your area might be hard (I have to travel almost 10/15 miles to get a bag), but you can order it online too.

Yeah if that was me, I would try him on salmon and potato and see how he gets on. Wainwrights is a good food if it works for you.

However, if you keep having the same problem after a few months, try 'Symply'. It'll save you the hassle of going through different foods like I did and it may work for you.

There is no harm in trying it but introduce it gradually by mixing a bit in his normal food biggrin

Yep, it definitely is, you can return if it doesnt sit well with your dog, even if you've finished the whole bag.

Same with Symply, full money back guarantee.
