lmao Kaos used to do that to Ty when he was a baby, and the end of Ty's tail. Ty eventually allowed him to suck the end of his collar (the flappy bit). Kaos will be 1 on the 1st june and he still sucks Ty's collar now when they are snuggled up x

ive been reading for a few days and iam a bit worryed abot zena and how she will grow up. i dont think shes going to grow up and be like a normal dog because she got took away at 5 week. because the mum learns the pups skills and other things i cant because iam not a dog. so what impact is this going to do to my pup. shes got no health problems but iam scared shes lost the skills that il never able to give her. i want the best for her and know iam thinking she wont get it

the good thing about this is you have blade who will teach her the doggy skills. lost of dogs have to be rehomed earlier than "recommended" but thats all it is recommended and humans or other dogs can get them back on track - in an ideal world you wouldnt have to take them earlier but we all know that things happen. love the pics of them together - you are going to be fine!

i just dont want her to be a nasty dog with people and other dogs because blade has the best temperment ive seen in a dog i want her to be the same. ive read that if shes naughty that i should tap her gently or nip her because that what mum does is that right or nasty

I wouldn't worry about it - she's with you, now & there's nothing anyone can do about that! I'm sure that Blade will teach her a lot about being a dog (and also lots of things you don't want him to teach her! ). As long as you give her good training she'll be fine.

I wouldn't tap or nip her. You doing it wouldn't be the same as the mum doing it, and she'd know that. Don't forget, you're going to have to stop her chewing things & nipping hands & feet at some stage, so you'd only confuse her.
Once she's allowed out, socialise her under controlled conditions. Ask people if you can introduce her to their dogs quietly & gently so that she doesn't automatically think that meeting another dog means out of control play! Same with people, just calm & quiet introductions with as many people as poss. Blade's obviously been taught well by you, so I don't think you'll have any problems with Zena!

Don't worry about the ae Scott as I had Lola at 5 weeks and she has tured out just wonderful. She still suckles on what I call her sucky blanket but its only when we go to bed and I think it soothes to sleep, after about 5 mins I take it off her and she's fine. Some nights she doesn't even want it, some nights she does.
It's hard work, I know, but trust me she will be fine and grow to be a loving dog. She has a companion so that's great for her and your doing your best by her, so don't worry at all.
Keep the questions and pics coming.

Re: new dog to home 2day is the day
Now that's one thing I was really concerned about Lola having seperation anxiety as I am with her and have been with her 24/7 since she was 5 weeks.
She has always slept with me, sits with me on the sofa and goes wherever I go, and yet when I leave her she is fine. She just toddles off to my bed and goes to sleep till I get back.
So don't worry. I know every dog/puppy is different, but I can say I've never had a problem.
And also you have the added benefit of another dog.
Hold her as much as you like, cuddle her when you want to, don't be worried. Blade will teach her the rest I'm sure.
