Darcy's ear
I noticed last night that Darcy had a scratch in her ear, on closer inspection it seems her ear entrance is very red Andrew just got back from taking her the vet and the vet said its so inflamed and sore that she can't check so Darcy has to go in in the morning to be sedated so they can get checked out I'm so worried and emotional after my op now I'm scared senseless mummy worries

Re: Darcy's ear
It does seem a little drastic, but I am no vet, would have thought they could at least give you some drops, I hope it clears up before tomorrow or at least looks a little better so they don't have to sedate Xx

Re: Darcy's ear
what you need to do is put it around the edge of their ears and massage it in, you don't just tip it in their earsSteve wrote:how do you get powder in their ears?

Re: Darcy's ear
Poor Darcy (and poor you!). A bit of a rotten night ahead I guess but hopefully they'll give her something that sorts it quickly tomorrow. Fingers crossed I always think it can never be anything too serious if they leave it until the next day - just a positive thought X

Re: Darcy's ear
Awww poor Darcy, Daisy's ears are red, sore, swollen and hot but she also has the brown stuff in them. It does sound like an ear infection to me and I agree what they said sounds extreme, they've never had to do that with Daisy!
Hope it goes OK tomorrow xx

Re: Darcy's ear
Darcy just got back from the vets she's got a severe ear infection in her inner ear, They've flushed & cleaned it out and they've inserted antibiotics inside, no walks for two days or contact with other animals because of risk of infection, but she's home snuggled on the bed with her worried mummy
Thanks guys for all your support.
