Mutt Muffs
Has anyone here any experience with using Mutt Muffs?
I'm hearing really good stuff about them BUT I don't wanna spend all that money on something that potentially won't work.
Knox is absolutely petrified of fireworks and loud bangs. I can't even click my tongue off the inside of my mouth without him jumping! *rolls eyes* lol
I hate this time of year because of all the stress it causes him.

They are apparently widely used for people who fly and want to take their dog in the plane with them. They block out the majority of noise as it would deafen a dog to go in a cockpit in a small plane. Apparently they can be used for all sorts of things including shooting and fireworks.

If you can get your dog used to them before the fireworks start you should be ok, but if they've already started then he might associate the muffs with the fireworks & you'll never get them on him!

Re: Mutt Muffs
yeah I'd thought of that. Unfortunately for me they start here in October and go on until January! Such a pain!! It's more for when we're walking him as he won't go out and tends to spook at any kind of noise like it. Also round here we have a lot of pigeon scarers going off winter time so hopefully it would help with the banging from them.
Trying to find them off an American site with delivery as UK ones are over £100! USA they are only $58 !!

Re: Mutt Muffs
I tried them last year but they had no effect on him. I've got zylkene at the ready to help make him a little happier. It certainly helped him through a separation anxiety stage. Touch wood he's fine now. But I've kept some by me to help through the fireworks, well to see if they help anyway
