Some people are just twisted...

Just heard something about somebody I was in 6th Form with. She and her fiance have been together for years and a few months ago she realised she was pregnant. Her fiance got the idea fixed into his head that she was lying about the pregnancy. I don't know why, but she'd never done anything to break his trust or warrant suspicion like that.

Apparently he started accusing her of loads of stuff like faking ultrasound pics. THEN, decided he was going to get his own back on her, so he told her he had cancer.  She believed him and has spent the last few months worried sick because she thought he was seriously ill - bearing in mind she's pregnant, so stress really isn't something she should be dealing with right now!

The details are a bit sketchy, but from what I understand, one of the fiance's friends actually told her that he was lying about it. Not sure exactly what happened after that, but it sounds like they had a huge argument and eventually he admitted to doing it.

 How does it ever get to that? I just don't understand what must have been going through his head. This girl is honestly one of the sweetest girls I have ever met! I feel so bad for her. And how would you fake a baby bump anyway?

Yeah, I just hope she gets the right support through this I've never actually met the fiance (though he's probably an ex-fiance now), so I don't know if it's out of character for him. Just can't believe what some people are willing to do.

Some people have no morals unfortunately and it's a story I've heard all too often I too hope she finds the correct support.

Yeah, I've heard stories of it happening. It's just really weird when it happens to somebody you know. I haven't spoken to her in a while, as she was a couple of years older than me and left her third year of 6th Form when I was in my first year.

Wow. Poor girl. He sounds like a right idiot. I hope she's okay. Pregnancy and stress are not a good combination.

Yeah, luckily I think she's quite close with her family, so she'll probably move back in with them.

Poor girl, and what a story to make up about having cancer, that's the lowest. 

After reading that it sounds like he was perhaps looking for a way out of the relationship with the girl. Some guys do come out with some trash at times and not what she needed at all. I know what stress can do to the early stages of pregnancy, not pretty.

I think you're probably right Kathy. Hoping that the baby wasn't affected by it all.

Hopefully the baby'll be fine & she can get on with her life!

The really sad part of it is that the guy could ask for visiting rights with the child. 

Oh dear, what a sad story - poor girl. Sounds like lover-boy got really cold feet when he learned of the pregnancy, but to go to the lengths he did is seriously unhinged. Unfortunately it sounds as if she's better off without him. Wishing her all the best of luck for her future ...
