Don't worry, it's perfectly normal! Smile Your pup will be used to sleeping with his siblings and mum, so the sudden change is bound to be upsetting!

I know it's very distressing to hear your puppy cry, but the best thing to do is to ignore her. It sounds cruel, but if you keep getting out of bed to see her, she'll realise that crying gets her attention and will continue it. It usually only takes a maximum of a week for it to stop - more often only a few days. Smile

Darcy took about 5/6 days to stop being unsettled at night, it's all normal puppy behaviour, she'll Settle in a couple of days Smile

I always leave a radio on for pups and set the crate up by the radiator and have that on VERY low just so it is giving off a little bit of heat. A nice big teddy to snuggle up too.

Bruno cried three or four times a night for at least the first week. I always got up, let him out for a pee and put him back to bed with no fuss. The extra effort in the beginning has really paid off with his house training because he's now 12 weeks and hasn't had an accident in the house for almost a week.

We had the same with Jasmine. I used to get up around 4am to let her out for a wee. No eye contact, no fuss. Also, it was warm at the time and I got our pedestal fan in our bedroom and put it on the highest setting and it drowned out her crying!! You must ignore it. Also, I put the radio on the ipad next to her cage, left the cooker light on so there was a warm glow from the kitchen and invested in a puppy heat pad which really helped her settle. It lasted 3-4 days, and then she was fine:-). She goes through the night now too, and has never messed her bed. They are so frustrating at times, but so worth it!! x

That's what I did. Out for a wee, then gently put back to bed & lights out for another couple of hours at least.
