Raising two pups are hard and not to be taken up lightly. Ideally it is best to wait till pups are a bit more mature (14 months old) at least. Pups train better on one on one contact so it might be better to wait a bit.

That being said it is my personal opinion based on hard learned lessons with my older dogs. This is very much a personal choice that differ from person to person.

A husky? Why? Unless you live in Novaya Zemlya or Vladivostok, is that a good idea? But maybe you do.....

Huskies are nice when they have blue eyes. They are meant to get on with other dogs.It would come in handy if we get snow this winter. You could have your own sleigh team.Staffy strength and Huskies mush mush lol Smile

Huskies are incredibly hard work. They need a lot of exercise, training and patience and can rarely be walked off lead. They are a lot harder to look after than a lab. I'd look more into their requirements first before choosing one because it's a good size and you like the look of it.

And I too would wait a bit longer before getting another dog also. Toby was about 16 months old when we got Boris, they got on really well. Close enough in age to still be best pals but Toby was old enough and we'll behaved enough to do as he was told and pass on some good traits to the pup.

I would wait until your dog is fuller mature and able to show you what temperament he has. It would be terrible if you got a pup only to realise your staff is dog aggressive. Also, i agree with the others think really hard about a husky, they are not as easy to look after as other breeds, VERY high energy and will require a lot more exercise than your staff
