Views and help/advice needed
Zeke is 9 months old now and is quite naughty, despite taking him to numerous training classes including his good citizen classes from the kennel club. I am always doing training with him and will never ever give up. Zeke's worst trait is barking. This is probably my own fault. Every morning zeke will whine and bark and being a new owner to a staffy I got up every time he barked in his cage thinking he needed the toilet. I never made a fuss and put him straight outside. My partner gets up at 5.00am for work every week day when it comes to Saturday and Sunday, Zeke barks at 5.00am on the dot to be up. We can never get a lie in unless Zeke is lying in the middle of us and then he falls asleep!
Zeke also barks and harrasses my Shihtzu when on a walk. Constantly barking at Archie trying to get a chase. He pushes archie to the point where archie actually chases him in anger. Zeke is great on a walk as long as he has his frisbee. His recall is amazing!
Zeke still wees and poos when we are at work (he is never left in a crate for more than 3 hours and always gets a chance to go to the toilet when the partner comes home on breaks).
I am thinking about buying a spray collar for when he barks. I would like one with a control so that I can control when it goes off for example when he is barking in the cage and at archie!
Has anyone got anymore advice on what to do with Zeke and what are peoples views on spray collars.

Punishment for barking will not work, he barks because he knows it gets a reaction. All the spray collar will do is get him wet.
When you put him in the cage how are you doing it? Just after a walk or just in the morning after being out? I assume archie is older and wiser, so have you thought about walking them seperate until zeke matures and calms down a little?

All I can really suggest is when you are with him and he barks ignore him completely, turn away no eye contact etc

Can only echo advice above really. I think ignoring is the way to go.
