Meeting and greeting
Rio is 5 months now and every time we go out if we meet a person or other dogs he starts to jump up and just wants a cuddle or to play! Which is a good thing in a way but not good behaviour? I've tried to get him to sit, saying no! And treats! So looking for some advice please

Moo was the same, still is now given half the chance! I just read her signals and am not afraid to say 'No Jumping' when new people fuss her. She soon learns

We taught. Tip to sit when she meets new people and dogs. That way I keep her calm and she does not get to jump.

Re: Meeting and greeting
I think sit and maybe hold a treat in your closed hand. When the meet is over give it him straight away. This works with me and worth a try.
