warm coat recommendations
The weather has cooled down lots now, and Lou stands shivering in the garden while im putting her lead on - its not even THAT cold yet. Does your dog do that or is she being a bit of a girl?
So im going to need a nice warm waterproof coat for her, but is it too soon? Maybe have the equivalent to a summer quilt and winter quilt?
Any recommendations?

Re: warm coat recommendations
The Danish Design ones look good, where you can remove the fleece when its a bit warmer but still have something on. Theres no measuring guide on the website, that I can see...do I measure around the thickest part of her trunk? x

Re: warm coat recommendations
Usually the size refers to neck to start of tail, sometimes they have other measurements as well, neck and/or chest usually.

Re: warm coat recommendations
Sometimes you do find you need the bigger size with staffs being quite chunky
for example, I have this one but the 18 was too small round the body so I had to get 20

Hope that helps

I have emailed them to ask where on her I need to measure. I think the 2 in 1 is perfect for her.

To measure your dog get a soft tape measure and measure from the nape of the neck to the base of the tail

Pictures? Pah!! you will be lucky, I've tried and better tried putting pics on here, someone even gave me a step by step instruction and I still couldn't get them on...x
I'm thinking the purple one, as its my favourite colour. Am I cruel making her stand out? It will be a novelty seeing a staffy in a coat where I live. x

Oh no, you'll have to try again with the pics. It took me ages but once you do get the hang of it, its OKMrs McFisher wrote:Pictures? Pah!! you will be lucky, I've tried and better tried putting pics on here, someone even gave me a step by step instruction and I still couldn't get them on...x

Lily has the 2 in 1 kind but she refuses to wear it. She freezes on the spot and won't move for love nor money! Lola has the Muddy Paws one which is great. How is Louby doing?

Coats
We got these for our two last year, I had to sew some elastic on the Velcro strips so they fit .. they both have very deep chests and really struggle to find a good fit - they both hate the cold

Re: warm coat recommendations
he Danish Design coat is for deep chested dogs like staffies , little advice from me is if your dog measures bang on 1 of the sizes then go to the next size up

Re: warm coat recommendations
Hayley doesn't like coats either but she also shivers out there when it isn't even THAT cold. Given she loves the snow and doesn't shiver, the only thing I can think is that she does it to try and get me to let her in or get attention (it usually works to be honest!)
