Re: Terrible Biter
We have a biter too! He'll be 11 weeks on Wednesday so going through the same as you really.
We have found he is improving with the firm no and moving away and if he gets really bad he is put out of the room. Sometimes he gets mad half hours where nothing will stop him and it frustrates me to the point of tears, but consistency and persistence is key.

Re: Terrible Biter
Have a read through the link it should help:- http://staffy-bull-terrier.com/stop_your_staffy_puppy_biting
I have to say I wouldn't hit my dog under any circumstances so I wouldn't advocate any hitting at all or shouting I believe in positive reinforcement, treating and praise for good behaviour, I do understand that the biting can be a hard phase to go through having been through it myself with Darcy, but with the above method, patience & persistence he will get there.

Re: Terrible Biter
Tip used to nip badly but we did the yelp and a firm no and no more play method and she has improved. Persistence and consistency are needed but they do learn.
We do not hit or shout either it only teach them to fear you.

Re: Terrible Biter
Yes a high pitched yelp and ignoring worked for me also.
Try to resist tapping his nose as he may become head shy when people come to stroke him in the future. Hope you find the tips useful and begin to see some improvement

Re: Terrible Biter
well the first bit of advice i would give is to stop the tap on her nose as it isn't working and you run the risk of making her hand shy
