I do eat sea snails in restaurants( the few times I'm lucky enough to be dined) and only there as I got no idea to cook them. One thing I won't eat is mopani worms. Do not care if they considered a delicacy.

I've only ever had them once when my Dad cooked them and they were OK, don't think I would bother again though.

I've tried them and wasn't too bad but don't think I'd ever pay to eat them.

They just tasted like large Whelks to me. The only difference is that they were cooked in garlic!

If I wasn't a vegetarian and somebody paid me £100 to eat one, I'd go for it, as long as I could be sure that I wasn't going to get parasites or diseases from it.

I just thought they were similar to mushrooms just take on the taste of whatever they were cooked in .....frogs legs however they were really nice
