a little bit disappointed
A guy working with hubby was rehoming his six month old staffy boy and we were thinking of taking him. We met in a park with our dogs but it did not work out. He wanted to fight the whole time. And not just in play. He went full out for Tip and we all decided it would not work out luckily hubby was there and picked her up before he could do damage . A pity he was one beautiful boy.

Re: a little bit disappointed
I spoke to his owners wife. He is the only dog in the house and they want him to be rehomed to a house where he is the only dog.
I'm just a bit dissapointed because I really wanted to help him.

Re: a little bit disappointed
We decided that we will rather wait till Tip is a bit older. And give all our attention to her and our older dogs. Hubby said that our next dog will be a rescue.

Aw, at least you tried them out together before bringing him home.

Re: a little bit disappointed
It would have been horrible if he gor here and either Sam or Sasha went for him. Or if he attacked Tip. We made the introductions as neutral as possible.
Hubby thinks they treat the poor boy like a human child. And my hubby believe you can't treat them like humans as they are dogs. So he thinks he was a bit confused being faced with our dogs.

Re: a little bit disappointed
That is a shame but you did the right thing, sometimes we have to say no and walk away however hard a decision that may be.

Re: a little bit disappointed
You gave it a go but you did the right thing in walking away. It's a shame but hopefully the little fella will find a dog free home with someone.

Arhh good on you for trying. Walking away sounds like the hard but sensible option for all dogs involved
