Hhahahahahahahahahahah Laughing

Well, ever since Roxy came to join us she has had a favourite part of the garden that she is attracted to, and always digs in, sits in and buries stuff in. The hole has been getting bigger and bigger and she's now started pulling peices off the palms and plants.

We (well, Hubby ) put a small fence up made of chicken wire which proved to be virtually useless.............so now Hubby has put up a fence made from heavy duty mesh to try and keep her out while we can still enjoy the beauty of the garden. Fingers crossed it works. Lets hope she does'nt resort to destroying other stuff as a replacement Wink

Does anybody else have a Staffy who is destructive in the garden???

oh oh Roxy... that is it for you kiddo!! No more digging in the garden for you!!

I did see a segment with Dr Harry ( a tv vet here , for non Aussies ) and he got one of those kids sandpits ( the plastic ones ) and put sand in it and some of the dogs toys, and the doggie learnt it could dig and scratch around in the plastic sandpit ! Maybe you could do that for Roxy ?

Down the allotments Cassie is the digger drives my brother nuts cause he fills in the holes and Cassie is right behind him digging a new one, Taz has broken down tree branches there are hardly any leave on them and Cassie hides their stalking the other two thinking she is invisible. Taz enjoys destroying our dry brick wall we put bricks there to build them up and he nicks them and runs off, My mum planted a tree down there, within minutes Taz and Cassie was fighting over its roots lol.

I think she was trying to dig to China or some faraway land........would'nt get too far in a sandpit, but I remember seeing that too.

billy left the snowdrops intact, but bit the heads off the daffodils, the bluebells are still ok, but has bitten all the leaves of some yukka type plants, the grass is slowly turning yellow where it has not been dragged from it's roots

Hollie bit all the heads off the daffodils in one of the planters, totally destroyed a miniture rose bush etc etc...i've had to move all the planters to the front garden and now going to have to resort to hanging baskets so she can't reach them Rolling Eyes

Um, how high has the OH made the fence? You do know, don't you, that a staff can jump a 5' high fence if it has a mind to? An older, fit staff can do a 6' fence as well! >Smile
