That sodding dog!
Marley... why is he always bringing me close to a heart attack???
Just been cutting some bushes back at the bottom of the garden when I heard what I can only describe as gut wrenching squeals of pain.
I dropped everything and at first couldnt find him until i realised he was stuck between the fence and the shed.
he was howling, chittering squealing and seemed to be trying to go forwards rather than back.
I ran around one side in a panic and I could see his head and front paws clawing away in sheer desperation, my stomach flipped and i ran to the other side again and shoulder barged the fence to try give him room to back out.
Nope nothing moved, so i was just about to run outside and start ripping fence panels off when I saw something else right at the other end. It was def furry and I could see it breathing but no idea what it was until I could just make out a head of a cat about 3 inches below marleys reach. The little sod wasnt stuck at all he was after next doors cat... the deperation was because it was just out of reach.
I got a plank of wood and shoved it down the side to create a barrier between marley and the cat and in seconds it was out and over the fence at which Marley shuffled is backside out from behind the shed and did a quick perimiter check of the garden. he then looks at me as if to say "what? whats up with you"
My next purchase is going to be a cow bell and lead dog boots...

Think about how boring life would be without them keeping us on our toes. Now Marley stop scaring your dad.

Re: That sodding dog!
he's such a little git... and he looks at you with a big smiley face with his tongue lolling out the side expecting you to praise him for a job well done.
In the process of dog proofing the garden I seem to have made it difficult for anything that drops in to get out again. although i think that cat wont be visiting again, poor little sod must be deaf with all that noise so close to it.

Hell yeah! I was in bits as I thought my boy was in trouble and in pain. I was trying to calm him while I worked out what to do. Funny now but half relief half annoyance at the time.Eleanor wrote: Poor you! They do like to scare us sometimes, don't they?
