Rolf Harris

Arrested for 9 charges of indecent assault and 4 charges of taking indecent pictures of children.  

Disgusting man!  

Just goes to show - it doesn't matter how squeeky clean someone appears to be............

Saw this earlier on the news, just couldn't believe it when I first heard it.

Wasn't there something about this earlier in the year or am I imagining it ??

I am gutted I grew up with Rolf, I'm very disappointed in him. The Mr keeps making 'Rolf' jokes. Mind they are easy to make lol

Yes Dave we did discuss this earlier in the year. I was gobsmacked then and am even more so now, hearing today that he is charged with making indecent images of children only last year. It really does make you wonder just who you can trust.

Claire's point made me think - with all this sudden plethora of women crawling out of the woodwork and claiming that they were assaulted many years ago, none of them are against "pop stars". I wonder why - I know from my own teenage years that there were girls who did get lucky with pop stars (it was called "pulling a Face").

It has really upset me about Rolf I used to love him ( nt in that way lol). I hate paedophiles and men who use their power in a sexual way with kids

It's a fact Lynda , a young girl being pullled by say Gary Kemp would still have stars in their eyes looking back now , whereas Jimmy Saville , Rolf Harris ....................... Please don't get me wrong I am NOT saying Gary Kemp is like that it is just an example

I know people go on about girls jumping on the bandwagon etc. To be fair these are children who should have been protected from these old men!

Going through some articles about it and the comments at the bottom of each one. I've lost count of the amount of people declaring that Rolf Harris shouldn't be charged because 'he is an old man' and 'he did all these things a very long time ago'.

1) It doesn't even matter how old he is!  If somebody commits a crime, particularly something as physically and emotionally damaging as sexual assault, they should be brought to justice!

2) At least one of the indecent images he was charged for was captured in the last couple of years.

I do know what you mean, Lynda. But these assaults were made by men who groomed them and intimidated them into not saying anything. It wasn't of their own free will.

One of my own friends had a fling with one of the members of Blackfoot Sue. She was very proud of the fact & made sue everyone knew about it. But it was of her own free will.

That's what I thought.  I'll bet those women are treasuring their memories to this day.  Plus, those pop stars wouldn't needed to have wasted their time with an unwilling girl - there'd have been 20 girls only too ready to jump into her place.

Yes it's the older men, the "father figures" who in normal walks of life wouldn't have a snowball's chance of pulling a 15 year old girl.  

I could believe it of Jimmy Savile, I could believe it of Stuart Hall, but Rolf Harris - I am sooooo disappointed.

Absolutely disgusting. He does look a bit on the creep side though. It's about time they laid the suspicion to rest!

You wouldn't know Blackfoot Sue - they were a rock (ish) band back in the 70s! My friend was just 16, and believe me, she wasn't 'groomed'!

i dont believe it. think they making it up.

Awful lot of risk involved in making something like this up. They wouldn't be able to arrest him if they didn't have sufficient evidence.
