Latest cider

Just bottled my latest batch of Turbo cider, 3 quarters apple one quarter pineapple. gonna be a hum dinga lol took the readings before I bottled it and its an evil 10.5 % !!! was aiming for 8 % but left it a week and its gone super dry and fermented all the sugar. one for the weekends only me thinks.

so what flavour next? was thinking apple and strawberry but that means i'll have to get crushing up a load of fruit.

It's only a hint but I wanted to try something different. at the time it was all the shop had in juice wise that I cound thik might go together, my other option on the shelf was tomatoe juice

Nah mate i only make 4 litres at a time. give a bottle away to friends every now and again but thats about it.

yeah they kick your door in at an ungodly hour and haul all your kit away lol.

Its so easy to make though, google turbo cider. you can make 4 litres at the same strength as i just made for around 4 quid.

I see that Strongbow have brought out a blackberry cider. I haven't plucked up the courage to try it yet, but there are masses of blackberries out there at the moment (and free!). Just a thought.

Damn it I didnt edit your post just hit wrong button on phone...
And yeah I could do 40 but it would have to be an experiment  prob better to do apple and ginger and if you like the high alch can legally do 21% without distilling.

As it happends I have a pear tree practicaly bent over with fruit at the moment. Will have to freeze some strawberry s and do that mid autumn for you.

And nah you prob wouldnt taste anything at all the sugars with the taste would have fermented out. You would have to fortify it. A 21% Cider with a taste would be a challenge im up for though. Eleanor's death by apples would be a good name as you generally drink cider by the pint... a pint of 21% is gonna leave you rough lol

been googling this turbo cider stuff and im close to getting on board. I dont know whether to go beer or cider though
