Rocky's vet visit and update
Well this week has been an eventful one, loads of fun, walks, and off lead time for Rocky, he has been doing fabulous with all his training, so proud of him.
Although was quite annoyed on Monday, I was at Uni and talking to a few people in class, and had told them I have a Stafford, well....that brought on the worlds biggest debate The first comment I received was "Aren't they the dogs that eat kids" I just thought oh here we go, well I tried to let them know what an amazing breed they are, but they just weren't having it! You can't please them all I guess.
Well today was another vet visit for Rocky as he is losing a considerable amount of fur due to the demodex, which is now getting quite red and scabbing. I feel so sorry for him, I can tell his is uncomfortable and irritated, but he is soldiering on! My little gladiator. He got lots of treats and love and fuss from the vet, but on top of the Advocate treatment and shampoos every 2 weeks, he is now on anti-biotics for 10 days, possible 20, to prevent secondary skin infections and help with the redness. I just want this to clear up
Well, other than the Demodex, Rocky is in great health, and when it came time to weigh him, I couldn't believe what I was seeing.... 20kgs he was only 16.9 when I took him last which was a month ago. Definitely can't lift the heavy lump now though
Will have to upload some new pics soon xx
