dry skin
Hi everyone I posted a query about a dandruff problem last week and have followed the advice that I received and the problem seemed to clear up. Then I noticed that sasha was knawing at her back left leg on examination I noticed that she has really bad dry skin even though I have been giving her sardines and salmon oil daily. I have tried speaking to the vet who was worse than useless and offered no advice. Wondering if anyone out there has had the same problem and if there is a solution or will she just grow out of it

Re: dry skin
I had same problem with sapphy my vetreccomended oat shampoo from vets at home it helped for a while and then when sapphy started knawing at her legs ect i took her back to vets and asked for a skin scrape to be done when they did do this they showed up a mite called dermodex and gave me shampoo treatment for her cleared up in 2weeks never had problem since. Is sasha brindle? X

Re: dry skin
Hi Katie no sasha is black so doesn't look brilliant. Her coat is actually really healthy and shiny I feed her on wainwrites with sardines mixed in so I don't think its that. Ive been advised not to bath her too much with a normal puppy shampoo which I have done twice in 7 weeks as these can dry skin out. To be honest im worrying about it more than she is
