Me again!

What would you say is a reasonable price for lifetime insurance for an 8 week old pup?

Prices vary so much between insurers... I'm slightly confused!

Also we've decided on kibble and wet food for the pup. Wainwright's and naturediet. How much naturediet should he have per day if we do half dry and half wet?

Smile thanks!

5 sleeps! Xxx

I pay around £20 each for my 2 on insurance but that was the best cover I could find with PAH and its 9K per year for lifetime of condition and I contribute 10% towards fees . Really depends on what cover you want . I personally don't do wet food and kibble only , for this and me its wainwrights

Wainwrights is a good kibble Smile I don't do wet either, but do add a raw egg from time to time or a sardines in tomato sauce/oil. I pay about £20 also similar conditions to daves ^^^^ Smile

Wainwrights is a good dry kibble! I sometimes mix 1 spoonful of wet food into the dry food. I also crack and egg over the food and mix it together! Why have you decided to do 1/2 wet food and 1/2 dry kibble?

Hi
I don't have insurance...yet. Its a bit difficult to convince hubby we need it and as he is the only breadwinner in our household I can't really force the issue.
We feed kibble only but as per advice from others Smile I mix a egg and sometimes a little bit of oil with the kibble. We using Suprene pet puppy.

Regarding insurance we have insured Rocky with Argos Pet Insurance on a Lifetime policy. The premium is £19.00 per month.

We were previously with PetPlan who wanted £22.50 per month for the same cover.

With Argos we went for the Platinum Policy which should pay out £7,000 in vet fees, £2 Million in 3rd Party Liability and with £65 excess per incident.

Recently made a claim for his cut foot couldn't fault them for paying out very quickly (within a week of them receiving the claim form from the vet)

Hope this helps.

With regard to feeding are you just adding a little of the wet food to get him to eat the kibble or is the wet food part of his daily diet ? If it's the latter adjust the amount of kibble to wet food you add.

The wet food will be part of his diet. My other dogs (live with my mum) have kibble for breakfast and wet food for dinner so I think we're aiming to do something like that. Or just half and half in each meal.

Thanks for all your replies. Smile

If you have a law savvy friend have them look at the policies. The fact is "life cover" usually means "until they get something the small print says it doesnt cover" then you are screwed.
