advice for pups
Hi all first of all im new to the forum. i'm from cork. last friday i got two male staffs. two brothers hooch and jake. ive had dogs all my life but first time getting staffs as now i can commit to the breed. always loved them. anyway the two lads are settling in nice. they have a nice run nice box nice and warm. i'm feeding them dry puppy food. i feed them three times a day at regular intervals or as best i can. one the pups is very bloated tho. he is pooping(sorry not using bad words just yet ha) and his poop is solid. they are getting fresh water and lots of it. i feed them seperate. they both in the run but i keep them apart. they do try and get to each others bowls but i seperate them and as im doing i give one loud and firm no. basically as im new has anyone any advice?? with what ive said has anyone spotted where i might be wrong or can improve?? anything is a help cheers

Hi & welcome to the forum.
You don't say how old your boys are? Do you supervise them when they're eating? When you say 'bloated' do you mean that he's getting fatter than the other one, or that his stomch is feeling hard & bloated?
P.S. We'd love to see some pics of your dogs!

Re: advice for pups
I'd say it's just because their metabolism is different. If you think one is actually getting podgy, then just cut down the portions a little, but not too much at this stage. Don't forget, though, that a lot of stafford pups are really 'chunky' and might look fat, but aren't really.
The colouring/markings sounds like my old boy Bandit, he was a black brindle with a little white as well! Look forward to seeing some pics!
